Dave has reported from five national capitals and every province in Canada, earned accolades for his coverage of local, national and international stories and won awards for his editorial commentary.
He has also covered some of the biggest international events of our time, including the funeral of Pope John Paul II, the inauguration of Barack Obama and the Royal Wedding of William and Kate.
He has been a front line observer of events that have shaped the political and cultural landscape of the Greater Toronto Area since the mid 1980's. From the opening of Casey House, Canada’s first freestanding AIDS/HIV hospice to the Blue Jays
World Series wins; from the angst over creating the Mega City to the election and scandals of Mayor Rob Ford.

Dave is also invested in his community. He mentors and coaches young musicians, performers, athletes and broadcasters, and is an award winning musician and songwriter.
Dave is a founding member and Principal of Seen By Scene Entertainment - a non-profit, community based arts organization. He also co-founded Dreamtheatre Productions - a community based performing arts theatre company in Toronto.
As a performer, Dave has taken on stage roles in number of theatre productions. As a producer, Dave has directed and staged "The Promise" - a contemporary musical and poetic story telling of the humility and simplicity of Christmas. He is one of the founders of University of Toronto Community Radio, CIUT FM. He has taught broadcast journalism at Humber College and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Western Ontario, Journalism Dept.
